Bring the nostalgia of pre‑revolution Iranian cinema into your home with this beautiful reprint of the 1970 film poster Mardi az jonoub‑e shahr (often translated as A Man from the South of the City). The original film, directed by Sabir Rahbar and written by Ahmad Najib‑zadeh, was released in 1349 Hijri‑Shamsi (1970 CE). Its plot follows Ehtesham, who seeks to reclaim a cabaret he has rented to Atash by dispatching his lawyer nephew Majid, sparking a love triangle that involves Majid, Atash and the charismatic Hadifa. The film starred some of Iran’s most beloved performers, including Mohamad Ali Fardin (Habib), Forouzan (Atash), Abdollah Butimar (Majid) and Taghi Zohuri (Taghi)
